About

In business since 1976, we have been providing a vast selection of ecomonical pocket books and hardcovers to our customers. We have been buying, selling and trading comic books since 1962.

Used Books

Growing up on the poor side of town meant books were a luxury.  It remained that way until I discovered a used book store had opened in town.  I could buy books at one half the original cover price, which was one quarter the new price.  On top of that, when I was done reading the books, I could return them and get credit toward new purchases. Cheaper still!  That really left a mark on me as a youth. When I grew up, guess what?  I started a used book store in my home town.

Comic Books

Have you ever heard about a Boy Scout Paper Drive? Neither had I until I was 10.  Well, I helped unload the pickup trucks and load the recycling truck. And darn, those recycling guys would not take any colored paper.  So we had to sort the magazines and comic books apart from the newspapers.  When all the papers were loaded, there were thousands of comics just sitting there, so I asked the scout master if I could take them home, those 1 to 30 year old comics that had been put out on the first paper drive.  After that, the newspaper advertised no magazines or comics should be put out for the paper drive.  Fortunately for me, I already had a lot of nice comics from 1930 to 1962 (that was the year of the first paper drive).  Well, being enterprising, I read some adds in the old magazines and comics from people selling old comics.  Guess what I did?
