Book Register provides the retailer with a fast easy to use cash register system. Designed for book exchanges, Book  register supports unique inventory in the hundreds of thousands.

 

The cash register functions fully suport keyboard or mouse, scanners, cash drawers and thermal printers. Hot keys are available for the most common functions to make processing times for transactions fast and easy.

 

Book Register has a built in Comic Book Order system, intergrated with Diamond Distributors to make the order and receipt of comics books accurate and expediant.

 

In addition to the standard cash register functions, Book Register supports promotions, coupons, gift certificates, box sets, kits, layaways, split transactions and customer loyalty points.

Exchanges

Book Register 3.0 incorporates exchanges into the sale transaction.
When a customer brings in items to sell to the store, the cashier can start a transaction and tally up the credit the customer is due. That transaction can then be precessed against the customer's account or held until the customer is finished browsing. When the customer returns to the cashier with their purchaces, the transaction can be recalled and the items purchased are added to the existing transaction. The net due to the customer or to the store is then forwarded to the payment screen.

Layaways

Book Register 3.0 consolidates layaways and can accept multiple payments over time.
When a customer orders an item or puts items on layaway, Book Register can accept a deposit and multiple payments over time until the purchase price is fully paide. Layaways can be split if more than one item was put on layaway, completing the sale of one or more items while leaving the remaining items on a new layaway transaction in one simple process. 

Taxes

Book Register 3.0 supports up to five taxes of any type as specified in the settings.
Book register was designed to support flexible tax rules. These can be established in the settings. Tax on tax, tax included in the price, tax holidays, tax rounding and tax on defaulted deposits are some of the features. The tax component was designed after reading the tax laws of the countries of the world and the unique requirements of provinces/states and cities (entertainment districts, counties, etc.).

Payments

Book Register 3.0 supports up to 15 different payment types.

Cash payments, credit card, debit card, cheques, customer credit and points (customer appreciation) are supported. 

Book Register does not process card information, thereby eliminating accusations of fraud by customers. We recommend the use of card swipe machines provided by third party sources as the most secure processing of any type of card.
